45 Days of Green Smoothies…

Posted by fasteddy77 on Feb 18, 2010 in Mobile Upload

As mentioned in the earlier post, Sara and I are going to have 45 days of green smoothies.. Instead of posting every morning on Facebook the kind of smoothie I made and hearing all of the ‘uuugh’ comments from people, I have decided to just keep a running journal inside this blog post of each day… So.. With that said.. Let’s talk about today (Day 2) and update you what happened on day 1. [I always add ice and water to my smoothies to make them end up about 1 quart of green yummy-ness, so I'm going to omit that from the daily list below...]

Day 2 – Banana (1 medium), Blueberries (1/2 cup), White Grapes (18 grapes), Almonds (14 almonds), Kale (3 leaves), Spinach (1 cup) and fresh Parsley — Wow! This one turned out great and the parsley really added a nice touch! The almonds and banana really made it creamy..

Day 3 – Apple (1 Red Delicious), White Grapes (16 grapes), Strawberries (1 1/2 cups), Almonds (7 almonds), Kale (5 leaves), Flaxseed (1 TBSP) and fresh Parsley – Was a little sweet, could’ve probably did without either the apple or grapes..  But still good…

NaBloPoMo09

Posted by fasteddy77 on Nov 3, 2009 in Mobile Upload

Well,

It never ceases to amaze me that as informed I think I am about what’s going on in the wild wild world of the Internet, I’m just that much uninformed about the hottest items and latest trends..

As I pulled myself out of bed desperately trying to kick myself in the ass to start recovering from the flu, Sara yells in at me.. “Hey, November is Nation Blog Posting Month.. You’re supposed to post one blog entry a day for the month of November…” Oh boy, I’m already behind.. lol

So here it is.. The first blog post on the 3rd of November. I’m going to have to dig deep for my first two posts, but I’m sure something will come to me real quick.

Happy NABLOPOMO09 everyone!

Ready to tackle my Capri-sun project..

Posted by fasteddy77 on Oct 27, 2009 in Mobile Upload

Well, it’s been almost a year since my brilliant idea of saving Capri-Sun juice pouches to sew a reflective blanket for the underside of each of our pop-up camper beds and the project is… well.. in a holding pattern. I have about two onion bags full of juice pouches and now it’s just going to be time to cut, open, and clean them all in preparation for the sewing machine.

Hopefully will have some pictures up soon of the process and progress!
